—VALOR (Veterans Alliance of Orange County)
Having served in over a dozen courthouses, I’ve learned much from effective judges. My broad legal and community service experience allows me to recognize many cross-over areas to assist in developing innovative and effective interventions and programs.
EXPERIENCE: I’ve served the OC, SD and LA county communities for the past 27 years including terms as Deputy District Attorney and as Deputy Public Defender.
VISION: Having worked with the most vulnerable populations in our communities — domestic violence survivors, disabled veterans, neurodivergent children, at-risk adolescents, and adults with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and mental heath issues — I have a vision to expand our understanding of Public Safety and supporting access to the legal system.
DEDICATION: Through my career and private life I have proven my dedication to the youth and the wider community of Orange County by creating and implementing dozens and dozens of programs to help youth avoid the legal system.
PEER RECOGNITION: Throughout my legal career, I have been recognized as a community and legal leader, most recently nominated by the OC Women Lawyers Association and selected by the California Women Lawyers Association as the recipient of the 2022 Fay Stender Award.
TRACK RECORD: A proven track record of competence, compassion, integrity and impartiality.
OC LOCAL: I’m a UCI and Loyola Law graduate who has been married for 22 years with three wonderful teenaged children and reside in San Juan Capistrano.
